Biography - Mike Mahanna
Michael Mahanna served as Hamilton College's horticulturist, arborist, and grounds foreman for 20 years. After leaving the College, he pursued his life-long dream of owning and operating his own landscape design and consulting company, The How-To Gardener.
Mahanna also worked for the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Onondaga County, where he re-established the Master Gardener Training program. He currently sits on the board of the NY State Urban Forestry Council and the Central New York Conservancy, where he is also co-chair of the Planning Committee.
He has been a Master Gardener and volunteer for the Oneida County Cooperative Extension for more than 15 years. Mahanna is also a certified arborist and a member of the New York State Arborist.
